Ons Suksesse
AMAGP het reeds 'n paar suksesverhale. Ons, saam met Generaal
Holomisa, kon die Presidensie oortuig vir die oplegging van die
Mpati-regtelike kommissie wat in 2019 plaasgevind het, waar AMAGP een
van die groot organisasies was wat bewyse van ongerymdhede by die
kommissie gelewer het.
Binne 'n tydperk van 10 maande het Mpati die verlies van
vier-en-dertig miljard Rand as gevolg van ongerymdhede geverifiëer. In
ons getuienis het ons daarin geslaag om verliese van minstens nog tien
miljard Rand te keer. As Mpati meer tyd gehad het, kon hulle dalk
dubbel die verliese verifiëer wat voorheen genoem is; hoewel die
Mpati-kommissie aanbeveel het dat talle beweerde korrupsie sake
byvoorbeeld vir forensiese ondersoeke deur die Openbare
Beleggingskorporasie verwys moet word; "PAIDF", “Erin Oil
Exploration”, en “Lancaster Investments”.
Ander projekte wat tans met suksesonderneem word, is:

• “My veilige pensioen” – 'n Projek wat voortspruit uit 'n uitdaging aan lede om die bedrag van hul skenkings te verhoog met 'n langtermyn doelwit van litigasie om die regering se invloed op die OBK en GEPF te verbreek. Dit het onmiddellik gelei tot 'n aansienlike toename in die maandelikse bydraes wat ontvang word. 'Meeste van die fondse word vir die langtermyn doelwitte afgesonder.

• Massa Mobilisasie. 'n Projek wat deur die "Strini-Groep" begin is om lede landwyd te werf en deur middel van vergaderings met voornemende lede plaasvind. Vroeë suksesse is behaal deurdat meer staatsamptenare en -pensioenarisse by AMAGP aangesluit het. Dit het ook positiewe resultate gehad t.o.v.. skenkings ontvang. Die wye geografiese doel van die projek en sy persoonlike aard lei tot stadige vordering.

• Plaas van inligting Versoeke aan die OBK, GEPF en Tesourie i.t.v. die “Wet op die Bevordering van Toegang tot Inligting” (PAIA). Sekere inligting is noodsaaklik vir AMAGP se vermoë om suksesvolle aksies van stapel te stuur. Die meeste van hierdie inligting word van AMAGP weerhou, ten spyte van die sogenaamde deursigtigheid beleide van die betrokke organisasies. Die beskikbaarheid van fondse het ook die formalisering van 'n verhouding met 'n belangrike strategiese vennoot vergemaklik om hierdie aksie voort te sit.

• Bydraes en bemarking. ’n Bestendige invloei van fondse is van kritieke belang vir kort- en langtermynbeplanning. AMAGP het 'n debietorder diensverskaffer verkry om die vereiste te fasiliteer. 'n Bemarking poging is terselfdertyd van stapel gestuur, wat onder meer gelei het tot 'n opgeknapte webwerf wat binnekort bekendgestel sal word.
Our Successes
AMAGP already have a couple of success stories. We, together with General Holomisa, were able to convince the Presidency for the imposition of the Mpati judicial commission which took place in 2019, where AMAGP was one of the major organisations that delivered evidence of improprieties at the commission.
Within a 10-month period Mpati verified the loss of thirty-four billion Rand due to improprieties. In our evidence we managed to block losses of at least another ten billion Rand. If Mpati had more time, they may have been able to verify double the losses previously mentioned; although Mpati commission recommended numerous alleged corruption cases to have been referred for forensic investigations by the Public Investment Corporation for example. "PAIDF”, Erin Oil Exploration, and Lancaster Investments.
Other projects successfully initiated are:

• “My secure pension” – A project arising from a challenge to members to increase the amount of their donations with a long-term objective of litigation to break the government influence on the PIC and GEPF. It immediately resulted in a significant increase in the monthly contributions received. A major portion of the total funds is ringfenced for the long-term objectives.

• Mass-mobilisation. A project started by the “Strini-Group” to recruit members country-wide and by arranged meetings with prospective members. Early successes were obtained in more civil servants joining AMAGP. This also had positive results w.r.t. donations received. The wide geographical aim of the project and its personal nature make for slow progress.

• Serving information requests on the PIC, GEPF and Treasury i.a.w the “Promotion of Access to Information Act” (PAIA). Certain information is vital to AMAGP’s ability to launch successful actions. Most of this information is withheld from AMAGP, despite the so-called transparency policies of the organisations in question. The availability of funds also facilitated the formalisation of a relationship with an important strategic partner to progress this action.

• Contributions and marketing. A steady inflow of funds is critical for short- and long-term planning. AMAGP has a debit order service provider to facilitate the requirement. A marketing effort has been launched at the same time, resulting inter alia in a revamped website that will shortly be launched.
